Outdoor Car Cover

An automobile is for going to the outdoors and having mobility there. But often we need to park the vehicle when we go to someone's house or office on work, have a munch at the restaurant or for some other purpose. At these times it is best to use an outdoor car cover to keep the automobile well protected. There are also occasions when we need to keep the vehicle parked for a longer duration. When choosing an outdoor car cover there are quite a few determining factors and they are being discussed here…

  • External influences
  • Type of usage the cover is likely to be subjected to
  • Added security

External Influences

The automobile roams the outdoors and there are many external influences such as the weather in a locality that come into play. And so selecting an outdoor cover will depend on the weather conditions that may be encountered in and around the places where the person goes. If the summers are too hot, winters are excessively snowy, the autumns are gutsy, and the springs are showery, then the Autobody Armor™ or the Stormproof™ fabric from Coverking is a great choice.

Or if there is too much rain like it happens in some places, then it should be the Triguard™, the Silverguard™, the Stormproof™ or the Autobody Armor™.

And if you happen to stay in snowy terrains where it may be all white in the winter, then you need a breathable fabric to keep your automobile dry.

These days we see the pollution figures going up almost daily and there are so much chemical pollutants in the air that sometimes breathing can become a problem. If you are staying close to the industrial areas, then the car cover fabric you need is the Autobody Armor™, Stormproof™ or the Silverguard™ - they are even acid rain proof. Such areas and also the mining belt has a lot of dirt and dust and here a Coverbond 4™, Silverguard™ or a Stormproof™ car cover will provide protection.

A hot sun and the harmful UV rays can bake the interiors and turn the finish to a flaky crust as well. Most car covers from Coverking have built in heat-reflective properties that block the harmful UV rays from gaining entry. Wage a war against the sun with the Coverbond 4™, Silverguard™, Stormproof™ or the Autobody Armor™ car cover. Special Italian machines have been used to make them UV and heat proof. Originally designed for use on boats that spend their life always under the sun, these fabrics won't disappoint you.

Most people love birds, but all bird lovers hate bird droppings. They can be acidic too and thus when these droppings hit the automobile body they cause more harm than just looking bad. The tell tale mark will take several seasons to fade away. Most outdoor car covers including the Autobody Armor™, Stormproof™ and the Silverguard™ can prevent this from happening.

Tree saps can also cause dents on the polish. Do not let them leave their indelible mark on the paint surface. Covers from Coverking will offer you the protection that you need.

Type of Usage

Determining the type of usage of the outdoor car cover is also very important because now there are a good many types of outdoor covers available. So it is advisable to find out what type of cover will suit you as also how often you are going to use it.

There are some who travel a lot and constantly need to take off the cover and put it back on. For them the best bet is to go for a lightweight car cover that makes it convenient to store, carry, remove and put on.

Others however need a heavier material because their needs are quite different. Their automobiles are parked in crowded lots during the night or on busy streets and so to them the more the protection the better it is. For them, heavyweight outdoor car covers are better.

Added Security

Car covers provide protection in even more ways. Did you know that it is almost impossible to steal a vehicle when it is covered? It also blocks the view of the interiors and so does not make a thief interested in the purse or the music system.

A covered vehicle needs to be uncovered first, and if it has been locked using a lock and cable then it has to be taken off first. This naturally eats up time. A thief hardly has this much time and so very rarely if at all, a covered automobile can be stolen.
